The Sonderforschungsbereich-Transregio 7 will hold its spring meeting on April 23-24 2004 at the Max-Planck-Institut für Gravitationsphysik, Golm. The programme concentrates on two main themes: black hole binary systems, and gravitational collapse of astrophysical objects. The speakers have been asked to provide introductions to their subject matter, understandable at a non-specialist level. It is particularly important to clearly identify the problems which are encountered in these research areas.
We invite all SFB members and their associates to join in this meeting, and look forward to seeing you in Golm.

If you would like to attend the meeting, please send an email to Ute Schlichting <Ute.Schlichting@aei.mpg.de>. Please let Ute know when you intend to arrive, how long you will stay, where you will be accommodated, and whether you would be interested to attend an informal dinner in Potsdam on the Friday evening (23 April) of the meeting.
The accommodation page lists a number of options for organising overnight stays.
Conference Venue
On Friday afternoon, the meeting will take place in the conference room of the Landhotel Potsdam, a 10 min walk from the institute (note, this is the same hotel mentioned on the accommodation page). On Saturday, we will use the main lecture hall of the AEI. Both venues can be located on this map of Golm.
Friday dinner
An informal dinner will take place on Friday evening at 19:30 in the restaurant:

The Restaurant can be easily reached by car within 15 minutes from the Landhotel in Golm (we will be provide maps). There is an underground parking directly under the Luisenplatz. For those who are not here with their own cars, we can help with a shuttle service from Golm.
